Here and on the next several pages I'll talk about Da BLUES, that unique soulful music that is purely American. I am a little older than the teenie boopers usually found on computers. I am a lyracist/singer/shouter/Blues Harp player. Here's an example of the kind of lyrics I write, the pictures here are all me! As you can probably guess I dig tattoos and just had 3 new holes (piercings) put in my body. As of today, March 26th 2002, I just got my newest tattoo. More news as of June 4th, I got another tattoo. I lost count at 1 long ago, but the pics are here. Okay that was the last update this of 2002. All of '03 I didn't get any ink but now it's March of 2004 and I had two sessions. At the first Jay got some really vibrant Red that he touched up my "flaming finger." At the next he touched up the chick on a dagger and I got a new skull. Thanks Jay! 8-) So far I have Muddy, Howlin', & Lightnin' on my stomach. One of these days I'll have Sonny Boy added. Will this be the end? Actually now I'm thinking of making it a band of Blues stars, the lesser known but none the less important ones who shaped the Blues into the only indiginous American music. Okay, I said I wouldn't update untill I got the new ink but I am anyway. Skeletor do something, I got the ole itch! The pics are here and through out the site. At the bottom of this page are my four newest tattoos, inside are the rest... This is just an 'interum update' meaning I'm still waiting on more ink, and I haven't yet got anymore songs. But I do have a new page and Willys Jokes if ya want em!
SING ME A SAD SAD SONG
WILLY SENKIWSKY 3/5/01 1:00 PM This one 4/20.04 2:30 PM A-Harp, Key of E, Slow Blues
I woke up wondering where my baby gone.
I was feeling worried how my life could go on.
I felt better when I heard someone singing a sad song!
(Chorus)
Sing me a sad song,
Tell me how you rose above wrong!
I don't want no saccharine in the lyrics,
Sing me a sad, sad, song!
It's amazing how it feels when you ain't the only one.
These same things been going on since time begun.
There are lessons to be learned from sad, sad, songs!
(Chorus)
Sing me a sad song,
Tell me how you rose above wrong!
I don't want no saccharine in the lyrics,
Sing me a sad, sad, song!
The time's dragging on oh so long.
When someone tells you; you don't belong.
Sometimes ain't nothing to do but sing a sad song!
(Chorus)
Sing me a sad song,
Tell me how you rose above wrong!
I don't want no saccharine in the lyrics,
Sing me a sad, sad, song!
Sing me a 12-bar shuffle from the one.
Or make it a ballad tell me what was done.
Get it off your chest Baby sing me a sad song!
(Chorus)
Sing me a sad song,
Tell me why you're still going on!
Keep the artificial sweetener out the lyrics,
Sing me a sad, sad, song!!!...
(Repeat last chorus to fade)
@2004 Willy
My influences
I didn't just wake up one day and say, man it'd be cool to write a Blues song or two. No sir I had to spend time living the Blues. Luckily I survived. My sister says I was always writing lyrics, I don't remember. I do remember sitting in bars and writing on bar room napkins! My greatest hits have all been thrown away! But since 1996 I've had a computer and am able to save them. I am also stretching out now and doing more than just lyric writing. I also write stories about the Blues, playing Harp, and life in general. I post them on the net, anywhere that doesn't ask for money!
My Inspirations
I get inspiration from life! I have over 900 lyrics now, so I must've done a lot of living! I not only write about my own life but about things I see going on around me. I find a song is the best way to celebrate good things and works as a catharsis when things go wrong. Then I can look back and hopefully not make the same mistake again! In '95 I started playing Blues harmonica (Harp). For something so easy looking it's about the hardest instrument to really master as I am reminded when listening to people like Sonny Boy Williamson's (both), Little and Big Walters, James Cotton & many others. I have music here now, WooHoo, on the tribute pages and my favorite places has something for just about everybody. The page "That's Just the Way I Am" is me singing (?) along to a Boogie - Woogie!
Thanks for letting me waste your time! LOL
Hey I've ALWAYS been skeptical whenever any governmental body tried to tell me to do or not to do anything. Turns out I was right all the time! I've been a diabetic, since 1974, and thanks to the FDA aspartame, Nutri-Sweet, has been legally poisoning me and everybody else. Aspartame, Equal, Nutra-Sweet and other names, has been shown to cause Cancer in an Italian study and is TOTALLY banned from Japan. Now these stuffed shirt's have had other, harmless, sweeteners banned from the US market, until 1994 I believe Stevia a herb that has been in use, almost, everywhere but here. Free market? Well, if you're wondering why those Artificial Sweeteners cost so much; the lobbyists cost big bucks. And guess who pays? Kind of makes me wonder WTF the Petroleum Industry, a much more powerful group especially with Bubba as President, is having banned currently? In about 50 years, by use of the Freedom of Information Act, we may discover somebody thought up a way to get energy from water but the Grease Monkeys kept it off the market. It would NOT be the first time such a thing has happened. For more info about Aspartame go here;
